"BIG TIME"
PORTO LOBOS Y-753 (QR)
This ram is a ˝ brother to "American Idol" sired by HSF 0401 "Good Time". Traces back to Story Time, Storyteller, Grand Design, and Lexus on the sire side and his dam carries a lot of genetics going back to Bobby Knight, Super 8, and Hoosier Hot Shot. He is a very large framed correct buck with good feet, legs, bone and style. Being a March born yearling he has yet to quit growing and has finally got his yearling teeth in. Keep and eye out and watch for his lambs at major shows and sales next year. We are excited to see what he will do for us. As we feel he can help us reach the "Big Time" and can help you reach it too. We currently are taking orders on 2009 spring lambs so don't miss out!
CHILLAS 46-YO (QR)
Purchased from Rachel Chillas, Montavista Montadales in the 2007 National Montadale Sale. Sired by "Action Jack's Son" and out of a Riggs ewe. Goes back to "Cracker Jack" on the sire side. Look for lambs by him in our show flock and at the sales next year
M.U.S.D. 4-49 (RR)
Obtained from Manteca Unified School District after the 2006 National Montadale Show & Sale. This Ram was sifted from the sale but this ram is packed with meat and muscle. He has sired some of my best lambs this spring. If you like thick made meaty sheep you will like his lambs. Watch for some of his lambs at the 2008 sales.
GANN 43 (QR)
This Feburary 2003 triplet is out of the best montadale ewe that has set foot on our farm White Birch 80. That ewe is the dam of countless county fair champions and the granddam of many more. Sired by Johnson J17 a ram who has produced a large amount of females for us. Used Sparingly the past few breeding seasons with good success. We are looking to use him much heavier this fall. Look for some lambs by him next year they should be good.
M.U.S.D. 4-47 (RR)
Purchased from Manteca Unified School District in the 2006 National Montadale Show & Sale. A really pretty patterned ram with a beautiful montadale head, a great breed character ram that codon tests RR. Watch for lambs by him at the 2007 sales.
Kuykendall 276 (QR)
We bought this ram in April of 2006 from Kevin and Sara Kuykendall. This ram is a very tall large framed ram that sired a good portion of our 2007 lamb crop. His sire is "Blackjack" 2002 Reserve Grand Champion Ram and 2001 Junior Champion Ram at N.A.I.L.E. Look for lambs by him at the 2007 sales
Salfner 107-Y6-04 (RR)
This tall clean fronted ram sired the majority of our 2006 lamb crop. We keep some real good females from this ram. Sadly he was lost late in 2005 after breeding season. Look for a yearling ewe or two by him at the 2007 sales
Johnson J17 (QR)
This Ram could be considered the cornerstone of Gann Montadales. Purchased in July of 2002 from Brad and Kara Temple. He sired the bulk of our lambs in 2003, 2004, 2005. We keep so many ewes by this ram that they make up the majority of our brood ewe flock. He also was 1998 Grand Champion Ram in the Junior Show at N.A.I.L.E
